# SCRAP by emptypenz vs Plants on Fire

The clearest difference is rating: Plants on Fire at 4.8 against SCRAP by emptypenz's 4.2. Plants on Fire also leads on ratings volume (2.4K vs 6) and chart position (#57 vs unranked). SCRAP by emptypenz's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 62%) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SCRAP by emptypenz sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Plants on Fire sells 24 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Plants on Fire holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Plants on Fire has 2.4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of SCRAP by emptypenz's written reviews are positive against 62% of Plants on Fire's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SCRAP by emptypenz ships an update every 10 days, Plants on Fire weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
