# SnapNote vs Jotdown

The clearest difference is update cadence: SnapNote at every 2 days against Jotdown's weekly. SnapNote also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Jotdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SnapNote ships an update every 2 days, Jotdown weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
