# Pomodoro Timer vs Resolution Tracker

The clearest difference is monetization model: Resolution Tracker at free against Pomodoro Timer's free with in-app purchases. Resolution Tracker also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 82%). Pomodoro Timer's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 days). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pomodoro Timer sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Resolution Tracker sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Resolution Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 14 and 12 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Pomodoro Timer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Resolution Tracker's.
