# ElbowCalc vs TrueCut

The clearest difference is update cadence: TrueCut at every 4 days against ElbowCalc's every 5 weeks. ElbowCalc's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ElbowCalc sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TrueCut sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ElbowCalc ships an update every 5 weeks, TrueCut every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
