# RainCheck vs ChoreStar

The clearest difference is device support: ChoreStar at 3 against RainCheck's 1. ChoreStar also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RainCheck sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and ChoreStar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RainCheck ships an update every 5 days, ChoreStar every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
