# Mindflowy Notes vs Trace

The clearest difference is update cadence: Mindflowy Notes at every 3 days against Trace's every 6 weeks. Trace's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mindflowy Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Trace sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mindflowy Notes ships an update every 3 days, Trace every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
