# Wormhole File Transfer vs Kagi Assistant

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Wormhole File Transfer at 100% against Kagi Assistant's 54%. Wormhole File Transfer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Kagi Assistant's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 3.9) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 6 weeks). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kagi Assistant sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $28.99 per month. Wormhole File Transfer asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kagi Assistant holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kagi Assistant has 42 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Wormhole File Transfer's written reviews are positive against 54% of Kagi Assistant's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Wormhole File Transfer ships an update every 6 weeks, Kagi Assistant every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
