# Asset Forecast vs compounds

The clearest difference is update cadence: compounds at weekly against Asset Forecast's fortnightly. Asset Forecast's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Asset Forecast sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and compounds sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Asset Forecast ships an update fortnightly, compounds weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
