# BoldStep.ai vs Trailward

The clearest difference is ads: BoldStep.ai at none against Trailward's shown. Trailward's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BoldStep.ai sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $56.99 per year and Trailward sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
