# Habitability vs Shift

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shift at weekly against Habitability's every 2 weeks. Habitability's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Habitability sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Shift sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Habitability ships an update every 2 weeks, Shift weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
