# PrepGo vs AP Exam Master

PrepGo and AP Exam Master both sit at 4.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of AP Exam Master's written reviews are positive against 23% of PrepGo's. AP Exam Master also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days). PrepGo's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (313 vs 9). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PrepGo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and AP Exam Master sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.3 for PrepGo against 4.4 for AP Exam Master. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PrepGo has 313 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 23% of PrepGo's written reviews are positive against 75% of AP Exam Master's.

PrepGo ships an update every 9 days, AP Exam Master every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
