# SpookiBoo vs TextJam

The clearest difference is update cadence: SpookiBoo at every 2 days against TextJam's fortnightly. SpookiBoo also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpookiBoo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and TextJam sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SpookiBoo ships an update every 2 days, TextJam fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
