# LightNote vs Parrot Note

The clearest difference is update cadence: LightNote at every 6 days against Parrot Note's fortnightly. LightNote also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LightNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month and Parrot Note sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LightNote ships an update every 6 days, Parrot Note fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
