# Lyonesse vs SoloScribe

The clearest difference is rating: SoloScribe at 5.0 against Lyonesse's 3.8. Lyonesse's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lyonesse sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and SoloScribe sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SoloScribe holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lyonesse has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lyonesse ships an update every 3 days, SoloScribe weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
