# Text to Speech vs Forge

The clearest difference is monetization model: Text to Speech at free with in-app purchases against Forge's subscription. Forge's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text to Speech sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Forge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Forge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 3 respectively.
