# Walker vs StepDex

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: StepDex at none against Walker's 1. StepDex also leads on ratings volume (8 vs 1). Walker's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Walker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. StepDex asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Walker against 4.9 for StepDex. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StepDex has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Walker ships an update every 3 weeks, StepDex every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
