# Petimer vs FocusCat

The clearest difference is ads: Petimer at none against FocusCat's shown. FocusCat's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Petimer sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and FocusCat sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Petimer against 5.0 for FocusCat. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 2 respectively.

Petimer ships an update every 2 weeks, FocusCat every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
