# Blobby vs DeskTabby

The clearest difference is update cadence: DeskTabby at every 5 days against Blobby's every 3 months. Blobby's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blobby sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and DeskTabby sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blobby ships an update every 3 months, DeskTabby every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
