# Steady vs TrendCut

The clearest difference is update cadence: TrendCut at every 8 days against Steady's every 6 months. TrendCut also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steady sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and TrendCut sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Steady ships an update every 6 months, TrendCut every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
