# Once vs PARALLENS

The clearest difference is ads: PARALLENS at none against Once's shown. PARALLENS also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Once's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (714 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Once sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and PARALLENS sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PARALLENS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Once has 714 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Once ships an update every 5 days, PARALLENS every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
