# AutoNote vs Dragon Notes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Dragon Notes at 100% against AutoNote's 67%. Dragon Notes also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). AutoNote's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (34 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AutoNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Dragon Notes sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dragon Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AutoNote has 34 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 67% of AutoNote's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dragon Notes's.

AutoNote ships an update every 2 days, Dragon Notes weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
