# StepWise vs Pedometer

The clearest difference is monetization model: StepWise at free with in-app purchases against Pedometer's subscription. StepWise also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 2). Pedometer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StepWise sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Pedometer sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pedometer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 2 respectively.

StepWise ships an update every 3 weeks, Pedometer weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
