# Madelocal vs CakeNest

The clearest difference is rating: CakeNest at 5.0 against Madelocal's 4.6. CakeNest also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). Madelocal's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CakeNest holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Madelocal has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Madelocal ships an update every 2 months, CakeNest monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
