# Boombastic vs PingFlix

The clearest difference is update cadence: Boombastic at every 6 days against PingFlix's every 6 weeks. Boombastic also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boombastic sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and PingFlix sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Boombastic ships an update every 6 days, PingFlix every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
