# Notal Pro vs ByWhen

The clearest difference is update cadence: ByWhen at every 5 days against Notal Pro's every 5 months. ByWhen also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notal Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and ByWhen sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notal Pro ships an update every 5 months, ByWhen every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
