# FTC Tracker vs FTRunner

The clearest difference is monetization model: FTRunner at free against FTC Tracker's freemium. FTRunner also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). FTC Tracker's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1) and iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FTC Tracker sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and FTRunner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FTRunner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FTC Tracker has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FTC Tracker ships an update every 9 days, FTRunner every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
