# CogniPen vs Notelux

The clearest difference is ads: CogniPen at none against Notelux's shown. CogniPen also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Notelux's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CogniPen sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Notelux sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CogniPen ships an update every 2 months, Notelux every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
