# TextSmith vs Rhetoriq

The clearest difference is update cadence: Rhetoriq at every 2 days against TextSmith's every 2 weeks. Rhetoriq also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextSmith sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Rhetoriq sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TextSmith ships an update every 2 weeks, Rhetoriq every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
