# Notic vs BBnotes

The clearest difference is rating: Notic at 5.0 against BBnotes's 4.4. Notic also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). BBnotes's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly) and ratings volume (9 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notic sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $99.99 per year and BBnotes sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notic holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of Notic's written reviews are positive against 100% of BBnotes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notic ships an update weekly, BBnotes every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
