# BetterCalendar vs RMPlanner

The clearest difference is rating: RMPlanner at 5.0 against BetterCalendar's 4.5. RMPlanner also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). BetterCalendar's advantage is ratings volume (101 vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BetterCalendar sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and RMPlanner sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.79 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

RMPlanner holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BetterCalendar has 101 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BetterCalendar ships an update every 2 weeks, RMPlanner every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
