# Devil Six Solitaire vs The Mahjong App

The clearest difference is ads: Devil Six Solitaire at none against The Mahjong App's shown. The Mahjong App's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (7.5K vs 110). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Devil Six Solitaire sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and The Mahjong App sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Devil Six Solitaire against 4.9 for The Mahjong App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Mahjong App has 7.5K ratings behind it against 110, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Devil Six Solitaire's written reviews are positive against 94% of The Mahjong App's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
