# Orbs vs Vow Prep

Orbs and Vow Prep both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Vow Prep's written reviews are positive against 80% of Orbs's. Orbs's advantage is ratings volume (11 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Orbs sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Vow Prep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Orbs against 5.0 for Vow Prep. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Orbs has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 80% of Orbs's written reviews are positive against 100% of Vow Prep's.

Orbs ships an update every 8 days, Vow Prep every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
