# The vs Notch

The clearest difference is update cadence: Notch at every 3 days against The's monthly. Notch also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. The sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Notch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The ships an update monthly, Notch every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
