# Shift Planner & Calendar vs ShiftAl

The clearest difference is update cadence: ShiftAl at every 3 days against Shift Planner & Calendar's every 2 weeks. ShiftAl also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shift Planner & Calendar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and ShiftAl sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
