# Soon vs CountFree

The clearest difference is update cadence: Soon at weekly against CountFree's every 2 months. Soon also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). CountFree's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Soon sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and CountFree sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

CountFree holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Soon has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Soon ships an update weekly, CountFree every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
