# Soon vs Countdown Widget

The clearest difference is monetization model: Soon at free against Countdown Widget's freemium. Soon also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 80%). On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Soon sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Countdown Widget sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Soon against 4.8 for Countdown Widget. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 20 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Soon's written reviews are positive against 80% of Countdown Widget's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
