# BrainScroller vs Readrrr

The clearest difference is rating: Readrrr at 4.6 against BrainScroller's 4.0. BrainScroller's advantage is monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and review sentiment (63% vs 29%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BrainScroller sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Readrrr sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Readrrr holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 22 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of BrainScroller's written reviews are positive against 29% of Readrrr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BrainScroller ships an update every 3 days, Readrrr fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
