# CeriVPN vs DeVPN

The clearest difference is monetization model: DeVPN at free against CeriVPN's free with in-app purchases. DeVPN also leads on ratings volume (6 vs 1). CeriVPN's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CeriVPN sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $23.99 per 3 months and DeVPN sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for CeriVPN against 5.0 for DeVPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DeVPN has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CeriVPN ships an update every 2 months, DeVPN every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
