# Wood Identifier vs WorkBench Pro

The clearest difference is rating: WorkBench Pro at 5.0 against Wood Identifier's 4.2. Wood Identifier's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (46 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Wood Identifier sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and WorkBench Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WorkBench Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wood Identifier has 46 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
