# MA 3 vs WarMaps

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WarMaps at 100% against MA 3's 51%. MA 3's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (676 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MA 3 sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and WarMaps sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MA 3 holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MA 3 has 676 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of MA 3's written reviews are positive against 100% of WarMaps's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MA 3 ships an update every 2 weeks, WarMaps every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
