# For the Plot vs LiveMic

The clearest difference is monetization model: LiveMic at free with in-app purchases against For the Plot's subscription. LiveMic also leads on ratings volume (36 vs 1). For the Plot's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 11 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. For the Plot sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and LiveMic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

For the Plot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LiveMic has 36 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

For the Plot ships an update every 5 days, LiveMic every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
