# Focus vs DeskTabby

The clearest difference is update cadence: DeskTabby at every 4 days against Focus's every 9 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and DeskTabby sells 9 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus ships an update every 9 days, DeskTabby every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
