# Poster Maker vs Typelux

The clearest difference is ads: Poster Maker at none against Typelux's shown. Poster Maker also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poster Maker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Typelux sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Poster Maker ships an update fortnightly, Typelux every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
