# Curio vs NotePal

The clearest difference is ads: NotePal at none against Curio's shown. NotePal also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Curio sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and NotePal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $13.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
