# Prism Notes vs What

The clearest difference is rating: Prism Notes at 4.9 against What's 4.3. Prism Notes also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 67%) and monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prism Notes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and What sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
