# Pulse vs Tallyday

The clearest difference is monetization model: Tallyday at free against Pulse's free with in-app purchases. Pulse's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly) and iOS requirement (18.6 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pulse sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Tallyday sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pulse ships an update every 3 days, Tallyday weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
