# Sprout vs DayVergent

The clearest difference is rating: DayVergent at 5.0 against Sprout's 4.3. Sprout's advantage is ratings volume (26 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sprout sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and DayVergent sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DayVergent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sprout has 26 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Sprout ships an update every 11 days, DayVergent every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
