# EVOLVE vs Clear

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Clear at 100% against EVOLVE's 17%. Clear also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). EVOLVE's advantage is ratings volume (1K vs 3). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EVOLVE sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Clear sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clear holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EVOLVE has 1K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 17% of EVOLVE's written reviews are positive against 100% of Clear's.

EVOLVE ships an update every 3 days, Clear every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
