# ExpenseElf vs Subscriptions

The clearest difference is ads: Subscriptions at none against ExpenseElf's shown. ExpenseElf's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ExpenseElf sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Subscriptions sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ExpenseElf ships an update every 2 days, Subscriptions every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
