# EaseNote vs PDF Scanner

The clearest difference is update cadence: PDF Scanner at every 3 days against EaseNote's every 10 days. PDF Scanner also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1). EaseNote's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13 vs 16.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EaseNote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and PDF Scanner sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for EaseNote against 5.0 for PDF Scanner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Scanner has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EaseNote ships an update every 10 days, PDF Scanner every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
